Science has made strides in the past 10 years understanding the immune system. The immune system of the chronic allergic has been tilted towards what is called a humoral immune response or TH2. This skew has a genetic component, but it is also modified by the environment, otherwise we would not be seeing such a dramatic increase in chronic eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, asthma and other allergies. Since the environment plays such a large part, then by modifying the environment we will be able to affect a rebalance of the immune system. There are many scientifically proven methods of re-balancing the immune system away from TH2 and this book aims to lay out up-to-date nutritional, dietary, supplements, and lifestyle changes that will achieve this. We also take a look at the future and discuss plausible therapies that are in the pipeline
